Apparently Nothing

Apparently Nothing named their third recorded effort after a song they’d written rather late in the recording process, “Sprawl.” The song’s chorus features the lyrics, “There’s a freeway running through my backyard/there’s a filling station where we used to play.” After the band decided on the title, I decided that the album artwork should reflect the idea of suburban sprawl, regardless of how abstracted the end result could be.
