For two weeks, you can work wherever you’d like. Imagine that. That’s exactly what Sevnthsin did in late 2010. I chose to work in Chicago and South Carolina where I worked on the beach with my new fiancées. The idea was simple enough — test the limits of mobile tech by working anywhere. We cobbled together iPhones, MiFi’s — all sorts of gizmos. We kept in touch via iChat and Campfire. We collected copious amounts of data and launched a few websites.
In order to make our experiment compelling to those outside of Sevnthsin we built a site that would aggregate everyone’s activity. Everyone had a feed of geolocated tweets that were then placed on a highly customized Google map. Employees had a robust backend where we could manage the tasks that they’d performed that day. The site is currently in an archived with a case-study available for download.
